Guilty of wasting too much water. I know it is wrong but I really enjoyed celebrating Parada ng Lechon at Balayan, Batangas. It was tiring and the only thing I got to take home was a sunburnt nose (and cheeks, and arms, and feet) but it was one of a kind experience. I will always remember the faces of the children who enjoyed drawing there water guns on you and were not afraid to get wet in return. If only guns are filled with water then maybe wars will only bring happiness not bloodshed. I still can’t believe that we were able to splash some water on soldiers, on policemen, on foreigners, on the rich, together with those with less. Earlier, we were all seen as equal. And also equally wet. It was so nice to see that culture and tradition in the country still lives on to put a smile on everyone’s faces even just for a while. Getting wet is more fun in the PHILIPPINES!
